Anticafé Bordeaux
About This Spot
Stepping into Anticafé Bordeaux, you immediately sense a refreshing blend of calm and community. Nestled on Rue Duffour Dubergier, this spot feels less like a traditional café and more like a shared living room for creativity and focus—where the hours gently unfold against the hum of quiet conversation and the tapping of keyboards.
The atmosphere carries a subtle, steady rhythm; it’s spacious yet intimate, inviting both the solo thinker and the small group to settle comfortably into the afternoon. You won’t find the usual café hustle here—instead, there’s a thoughtful stillness broken only by kind exchanges with the staff, who seem genuinely interested in making your time both productive and pleasant.
At Anticafé Bordeaux, the experience extends beyond the usual meet-and-order routine. Instead of paying per cup, you invest in your time—buying hours to linger, work, or unwind—with an open flow of carefully brewed coffees and warming, sweet treats at your disposal. Imagine a rich flat white or a gentle chocolat chaud accompanying your moments of focus, or a delicate latte macchiato with caramel and chocolate toppings providing an indulgent pause.
Whether you arrive seeking a calm nook for study, a productive workspace, or simply a place to recharge in well-curated comfort, this café offers an understated, flexible refuge. The internet is reliable, printing is on hand, and the layout encourages an easy balance between solitude and a sense of belonging—making it feel less like a stopover and more like a thoughtfully designed extension of your day.
In Bordeaux’s vibrant rhythm, Anticafé quietly holds space for those who value both connection and calm, where time is a currency spent not just on coffee and snacks, but on moments shaped by presence and purpose.

What a cool idea. For €6/hour you have access to a beautiful shared working environment and unlimited food and hot beverages.

It's nice cafe for relaxing and studying or even work. It's really calm and you have all the equipments you need for studying like printers or wifi. The team is friendly and helpful. Here you pay by the hours not by requests. So it's kind of expensive if you stay long time.

Best coffee in Bordeaux and a good place to do some work/study. It’s a pay for your visit style cafe - so you pay per hour, and drinks are included.

Delicious. If you want coffee and have an hour to spend, i’d recommend this place. The first hour is €6 and the have numerous types of coffee and a good variety of snacks.

Here you will pay by hour or pay the whole day, they also offer weekly and monthly options. During you stay there you can drink and eat what you want. I went 3 or 4 hours per day during this week, very good for work or study, stuff very friendly, and quiet place. Maybe the best café/cowork in Bourdeux. I recommend! Check prices in the photos

Friendly and nice environment. Interesting concept where you pay for the time spent and not for the things you order. All hot drinks, biscuits, pastries and cakes are at your disposal and the stuff are very welcoming Cool place to work with free wifi and work spaces. Also a private area where companies or groups can rent out for seminars, galleries, gatherings or other

I work remotely and by remotely I mean from an extremely small village about 1h away from Bordeaux. This is fine most days, but sometimes I need to run errands in the city during/around normal working hours, which has been challenging in the past (coming and getting back is very time consuming). I have recently discovered this shop, and these days are now easy to manage. It's a safe, calm environment where I can comfortably make base. I like it that it's very flexible: no need to book, you arrive when you arrive and you stay as long as you need. I find the pricing is fair. The complimentary snacks are more than acceptable and the toilet is always spotless.
